A bridge does more than connect two pieces of land; it creates a single, unified landscape. In Southwest Minnesota, a new bridge is needed. Our Chuukese neighbors arrive from the Federated States of Micronesia as legal residents under the Compact of Free Association (COFA). Unlike other newcomers, they do not have the benefit of a formal sponsor to help them navigate a new culture, language, and system.
Island to Prairie Ámáári is that bridge. Our mission is to provide the welcome and guidance that a sponsor would, fostering a thriving, interconnected community. We unite the vibrant, communal culture of the Chuukese islands with the welcoming spirit of the Minnesota prairie, building a shared future of opportunity and understanding for everyone.
