Organizations Working with Chuukese People
Do you work with Chuukese individuals and want to build deeper understanding?
Our Cultural Training Services offer practical insights into Chuukese values, communication styles, and community dynamics — especially for those navigating cross-cultural relationships in healthcare, education, or advocacy.
Whether you’re just getting started or looking to strengthen existing connections, we’re here to help you engage with respect, clarity, and care.
Are you struggling to find a Chuukese interpreter through your usual language services? You’re not alone. Many interpreters contracted by language companies speak different dialects than the one used by Chuukese families living in the Milan area — specifically, the Lagoon Dialect.
In addition, Chuukese communities often prefer not to use interpreters from their local area due to privacy and cultural sensitivity.
If this sounds familiar, we recommend the services offered by ChuukLink. The company is owned and operated by a man who:
- Grew up in Chuuk
- Speaks the Lagoon Dialect
- Is listed on the Minnesota DHS roster of approved interpreters
You can request his services directly at ChuukLink.com.
